Artaxerxes II Artaxerxes II ruled from 405 BCE to 359 BCE; he had the longest reing of any Persian king even still not much is known about him. During his reign Egypt gained independence. Mostly all that is known about his is that he was sympathetic and a courageous warrior.

Artaxerxes IIIArtaxerxes III ruled Persia from 358 BCE to 338 BCE. In that time he re-conquered Egypt. He held Persia mostly together. But Persia will slowly start deteriorating. The Artaxerxes III was assassinated for some unknown reason.

Artaxerxes IV reigned 338 BCE to 336 BCE. He did not even get a real chance to rule or do anything because he was murdered. After just two years of being king.

Darius III had a little longer rule,but it was still only for six years, 336 BCE-330 BCE. Darius III was the second cousin of Artaxerxes IV. He was faced by Alexander III the Great of Macedon. He was murdered by his own general who had been secretly changing allegiances with Alexander. Then Alexander III claimed the throne of Persia, but he had to fight his way through every town; they would not give up Persia without a fight. He was never loved by the Persians.
